Another short road trip is on the way this week for the Miami Heat with matchups against the Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic. During that, they will make a pit stop at the Kaseya Center to play the Atlanta Hawks. In doing so, they will be seeing two of their divisional foes, Miami is the only team in the NBA that is undefeated against their division (9-0).
It will be the second time this season where the Heat are facing the Nets on a back-to back, looking to tie the season series 2-2 against a Nets team that’s been relentless against them. The Heat beat Toronto earlier in the season but have yet to see the new-look Raptors after their trade for Immanuel Quickly and R.J. Barrett, it will be interesting to see how Miami adjusts. The Heat will conclude their week playing the Hawks and Magic, who they are a combined 4-0 against.
Miami is looking to continue their efficient three-point shooting, great playmaking and interior defense against teams who present different struggles. A few areas where we can see the Heat looking to make improvements is in their fast break offense, perimeter defense and fourth quarter scoring. As of facing the Charlotte Hornets on Dwyane Wade’s night, the Heat are 28th in fourth quarter scoring and dead last in offensive fast break efficiency.
