As we approach the NBA season (finally), I wanted to do a short player profile on the Miami Heat's entire roster, starting with the Exhibit 10s and then working my way to the superstars. Lets get started.
Age: 24
Position: Forward
HT/WT: 6'9", 220 lbs
Years experience: 1, Two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
What he does well: Cole Swider is a sniper. No other way to put it, this guy flat-out shoots. In the G League last year, Swider shot a blistering 44% from three-point land on 8 attempts per game and 84% from the free throw line. Swider is the definition of a player that stretches the floor. Quick, I think I heard someone say, “Perfect 4 next to Bam.”.
What he needs to improve: Defense. The Heat have been able to cover up their players in the past, but it would be nice if Swider improves on that side of the ball. Specialists similar to Swider are having their limitations “exposed.”. The good news is that his body’s frame gives him opportunities to improve on the defensive end. If he can add strength, it would give him the ability to eventually become a solid post defender and truly have a chance to make an impact.
Heat player comparison: Duncan Robinson. Swider can shoot on the move and has a smooth stroke. He isn’t a great defender and will rely on his offensive game. He’s not an elite athlete but is good enough to get the job done. Cole’s big frame will give him a good chance to get his shot off at any time.
Looking forward to seeing what he's able to accomplish ⚡️Commented for the rating! Who is the next exhibit 10?
Does he have a good chance to make the sky force?
Best source for heat information.
Very insightfu!
