BUSTED: Derek Carr
I remember when Derek was on the verge of a Super Bowl appearance with the Raiders. I do not believe Derek has the tools to maintain a starting position for New Orleans after this year. He reminds me of Phillip Rivers... but with less success. He really just be chucking the rock 30 yards down field, I mean you have to admire it. As you probably guessed, the Saints hopes of making the playoffs are largely depleted. The inconsistent QB play throughout the season has landed them in NFL purgatory. Hopefully they wash this season and draft a QB. The ghost of Drew Brees looks on….
DOOMED: Philadelphia Eagles
I have never seen a Super Bowl hangover hit in December of the next year. Oddly enough, it seems to be getting the Chiefs around the same time as well. The Eagles have lost 3 straight games and have been exposed as an above average team. There is only one true juggernaut and it is San Fran, who is largely responsible for breaking the Eagles spirit. An absolute choke job by Jalen Hurts last week has landed the Eagles in this position. With coaching changes occurring out of the blue, the Eagles seem to be panicking. There is still time to return to form, as a playoff berth has already been obtained. Teething the edge of a total collapse it will be interesting to see if this team will let the fraud accusations derail them.
3 . BOOM: Amon-Ra St. Brown
The Lions are in striking distance of taking the number one seed. They need to handle business against divisional rivals to apply pressure to the 49ers. St. Brown is going to show up and torch the Vikings. Anytime Goofball Goff is indoors he is going to cook up something gnarly. I expect Amon- RA to be in the range of 12 targets and be Goff's first read on 80% of plays. The Vikings struggle in pass defense and do not have the strongest pass rush. Couple that with an elite offensive line and indoor Jared and the Lions Roll. In the Sun God we Trust
