Boom, Doomed, Busted: NFL Week 13

1. BUSTED: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have done nothing but regress this year. They lost their best offensive player and crucial picks along with having very few positives 12 games into the season. They have fired head coaches in back-to-back years and to me, it feels like their owner is very emotional. He didn’t even give a full year to a person who was crucial in bringing home a Superbowl. Miles Sanders does not look like the same back from a year ago and will likely lose his job to Chubba Hubbard. Bryce Young needs protection and weapons. The defense is broken and watching this team try to string together a drive makes my eyes hurt. We will catch you all next year.

2. DOOMED: Josh Dobbs

Speaking of hurting someone's eyes. My man Josh Dobbs likely folded away the Vikings' playoff chances. Justin Jefferson comes back this week but I fear it is too little too late. Josh has been impressive when faced with adversity, and we are all aware of his journey this season. His ability to adapt and overcome has stuck out to me the most. I doubt there is enough magic left in the tank to propel the Vikes into the yoffs. If they do it will be JJ to the rescue. I doubt he will throw four picks in the next game but he certainly will not lead the Vikings to any playoff success. An elite story though.

3 . BOOM: 49er’s Offense

This should be the only game anybody wants to watch, outside of your hometown team of course. This game is going to have it all. A rematch of the NFC Championship from a year prior, except everyone is healthy for a particular side. I think the Niners offense comes out ready for an absolute dogfight. CMC will be the catalyst. Multiple clutch third-down conversion early in the game will lead the Niners to an early lead. Once Brock Purdy gets the lead, he can just hand the ball off and rely on his defense. The Niners are undefeated with Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel in the lineup this year. The forecast is supposed to be rainy and I expect a heavy dose of CMC in the passing game targeting a weak Eagles linebacker room.
