Boom, Doomed and Busted: NFL Week 4

Boom: Josh Jacobs

A bounce back game for the defending rushing champion, Josh Jacobs, is in the works. With Brian Hoyer starting the Las Vegas Raiders are going to lean on a rushing attack. It will either fall flat on its face or will keep the game close. We all know if you keep the Chargers in a close game they will likely fold. I expect Jacobs to wear the Chargers defense down all game, then have fourth quarter explosion to seal the victory. The focus should be to stay in a neutral script and never be down by more than seven. The Chargers will give up a massive amount of yards, and I doubt that Hoyer will have the green light to sling. It's very important for the Raiders to receive the ball first, if possible, for Jacobs to set the tone early.

Doomed: Chicago Bears

I was excited to see how the Bears would start their season; and it looks as if it'll be repeat of last year where they obtained the first-overall pick. Except this year I believe they should draft a quarterback. What I am seeing from Justin Fields is a supreme athlete in a terrible situation. The Bears, in their entire existence, have never had a quarterback throw for more than 30 touchdowns. Justin Fields is not going to be the first guy to do this. In my perfect world I would like to see the Bears trade Fields before his contract expires at the end of 2025. According to Spotrac.com Fields free agent value is estimated at $41.2 million per year.

Busted: Russel Wilson

I mean holy hell, losing by 50 points in anything is hysterical. When a win margin is this big in the NFL it only means one thing, extremely sloppy play from the losing team. Russel Wilson’s play on the field has not been outstanding but he is not Zach Wilson out there (sorry). The Broncos have no camaraderie or culture radiating from their logo. Adding Wilson was the final core piece to what looked to be a championship roster. Instead, I believe we are seeing Russell as the final piece to send this organization into a full-blown rebuild. Sean Payton and Patrick Surtain would be the only two pieces I expect to be retained.
